Institution of Technology Sligo – Innovation Centre
The Innovation Centre at IT Sligo is a one-stop facility for entrepreneurs and enterprise to exploit the physical and intellectual assets of the Institute and is now home to over 35 businesses at different stages of development that between them employ more than 100 people and generate annual sales in excess of €3m. The centre is also a nexus for companies in the region that are in the phase where they need these very necessary levels of support. IT Sligo provides that support, encouragement and the mentoring skills that these start-ups need in order to survive.
The Innovation Centre has close relationships with Enterprise Ireland and the LEOs while a key working partner over the years has been the Letterkenny Institute of Technology (LYIT), with which it has collaborated on the New Frontiers programme.
