Senator and Professor John Crown to be Guest Speaker at Chamber’s “Gentlemen’s Gathering” Radisson Hotel Friday Oct 2nd at 5pm
Sligo Chamber of Commerce are pleased to announce that Professor John Crown will be the guest speaker at the “Gentlemen’s Gathering” to be held in the Radisson Hotel on Friday 2nd of October. The Gathering is a fundraiser for the purchase of laser equipment for Prostatic disease.
In making the announcement, Chamber President, David Kiely said, “We are delighted to have Senator Crown as our guest speaker. John has gained an international reputation for his forthrightness as a public representative, his excellence as a medical practitioner, and his resourcefulness in establishing and developing the internationally acclaimed Cancer Clinical Research Trust (CCRT). As we in Sligo strive to assist in the delivery of enhanced services in Sligo Regional Hospital, we will continue to listen and learn from those who have succeeded in the delivery of enhanced services on an international stage.”
Mr Kiely also paid tribute to the organising committee of the event saying “When we took on this project as a Chamber in late February, the organising committee got straight down to business and have arranged what is going to be a fantastic evening for all involved. There’ll be a sponsored drinks reception, a four course meal, wine and plenty of entertainment, whilst also contributing financially towards our Regional Hospital. I would like to sincerely thank the Chamber organising team of Tony Wehrly, Gerry McManus, Martin Reilly and Pat Clifford who have left no stone unturned in arranging a fantastic evening with the very valued support of the Friends of Sligo Regional Hospital” Mr Kiely said.
