Sligo Chamber welcomes Reopening of Lissadell House

   Reopening of Lissadell House Sligo Chamber was delighted to learn of the decision of the Walsh Cassidy Family to reopen the doors of Lissadell to the public from Friday 20 June. Speaking of the announcement, Paul Keyes CEO of Sligo Chamber said “The reopening of Lissadell is a major boost for tourism in County Sligo and the North West region. We were delighted to learn that the Walsh Cassidy family decided to reopen its doors to the public and we wish the family every success and support in the development of this truly iconic tourist attraction. The Chamber has been heavily involved in promoting Sligo Tourism in recent years and in the preparations for the Yeats 2015 celebrations. Through its association with Countess Markievicz and WB Yeats, Lissadell is a place of world renown and we look forward to Lissadell re-establishing its rightful position as a must visit destination”.
